Fire Prevention Week

October 16, 2016

Our volunteers have been extra busy the past week with fire prevention. Stops have been made to many local day cares and some of our residents. Friday members participated in firefighter Phil program at South Fayette School Campus. Last weekend we welcomed the South Fayette Library into the fire station for story time with a firefighter.

Firefighters taught residents and children the importance of smoke detectors and having a escape plan with a meeting place. We encourage all residents to please take time this month especially when you check the batteries during the time change to check the date of manufacture on the back of the smoke detector. Smoke detectors are only good for 10 years. If you have any questions or need assistance please use the form on our website to contact us for a quicker response.
