ABOUT SOUTH FAYETTE VOL. FIRE DEPT.

Allegheny County Station 266

 

The South Fayette Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit emergency response organization located 15 miles south of Pittsburgh. The fire company is comprised completely of volunteers and responds to approximately 300 calls annually. South Fayette VFD Station 266 was the first fire department in the South Fayette Community and has been operating since the 1930's.

 

Today we have about 30 Active members that respond to calls at a moments notice. Our members continue to do training and provide the citizens of South Fayette Township and surrounding communities with the best.

South Fayette Vol. Fire Department is Recognized as a Participating Department through the Office of the State Fire Commissioner at the 50% Level.

Participating Department Recognition Program

Participating Department is a program that Commonwealth emergency responders have an opportunity to participate in and be recognized as a certified fire professional at various levels in accordance with nationally recognized and sanctioned Professional Qualification standards. The purpose is to recognize those organizations that support, promote, and encourage their emergency response personnel to voluntarily certify within the Commonwealth’s Certification Program administered by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
