Ted Wolford

Captain Wolford has proudly served at South Fayette Volunteer Fire Department since 2013, and has been in the fire service since 2001. In 2016 Wolford took appointment of Captain. Wolford’s responsibilities include serving as the Training Officer; assisting with recruitment; managing the Incident Reporting; managing and implementing overall technology of the department; grant writing and Development for department personnel including line personnel, volunteers and junior firefighters. He is a member of the (FOOLS) Fraternal Order of Leatherheads Society Pittsburgh Chapter. Captain Wolford has previously served with Cecil Township Volunteer Fire Department #1 from 2001-2006 and Fairview Volunteer Fire Department from 2006-2013 where he held ranks of Lieutenant, Captain, and Battalion Chief. Captain Wolford has worked for Robinson EMS and Fort Cherry EMS where he served as an Emergency Medical Technician. Wolford also served as an EMT and Security for the Meadows Casino. Currently Captain Wolford is employed by EMCOR Scalise Industries and works in the Fire Protection Division. Wolford took interest in the fire service growing up seeing his father being a volunteer firefighter. Captain Wolford graduated from Parkway West Career Technology center with a diploma in Public Safety Technology. Captain Wolford holds Pro-Board Certifications in Firefighter-I, Fire Instructor-II and is a state certified EMT. Captain Wolford brings experience, knowledge and training to South Fayette Volunteer Fire Department.
